NUMBERS
Network performance and community activity
- $159M in volume with 70K swaps in August — This includes $150M on Ethereum, $8M on BNB Smart Chain, and $900K on Polygon.
- 43.1% of ether/stablecoin swaps on MetaMask — Metamask Swaps accounts for 92% of volume, remaining the number one volume source.
- 32M AST staked, 18.4% of circulating tokens — AST staked remains at its all-time high with a net surplus of 700K AST staked in August.
- 278K AST distributed from treasury — 278K AST ($30K) was disbursed in August to contributors, bringing the circulating supply to 174.4MM.
NEWS
The latest from around the community and network
- CoWSwap solvers have integrated AirSwap — CoWSwap solvers have recently integrated AirSwap protocols, making off-chain liquidity from high-quality market makers available to all CoWSwap users. More than $5M has already been settled on CoWSwap through AirSwap.
- Swaps and rewards are rolling out multi-network — Activate has begun to roll out AirSwap claims on other chains. Rewards on AVAX are already active, with BSC and Polygon chains to follow.

- AIP 71: Dynamic contributors rewards — Accepted (93.3%)
The new dynamic pool for contributors allocates a maximum of $40K worth of AST from the treasury based on the number of contributors in a given month. Pools are now Growth (40%) and Tech (60%). - AIP 62: Increase Uniswap v3 Liquidity — Accepted (72.6%)
AirSwap will provide $100K worth of ETH to supply $200K in TVL ($100K in ETH, $100K in AST) on Uniswap. This will increase TVL to $270K.
AirSwap Update for August received a 98.49% positive rating.
COMMUNITY
AirSwap had its first contributor meetup on August 27 in Brussels, Belgium. The “AirTribe” gathered to meet in person and share a good time. The first meetup point was Perché Rooftop, where introductions were made to start the evening’s adventure.
Afterwards, led by Sam, the team arrived at what locals call “Pita Street” to enjoy delicious pitas to continue the night. After fueling up, the AirTribe headed to Delirium Village through Grand Place to explore the variety of music and beverages that Brussels has to offer. Thanks to all the contributors who attended, we’re sure the event was really fun and we’re looking forward to the next one, hoping more members will be able to join!
COMING UP
What’s happening in September?
- OTC is coming to the web app — The new OTC board product supports every chain the protocol is on and it allows users to publicly post their trade orders on the AirSwap web app.
- NFT swaps for communities — AirSwap is building products to empower Web3 communities to own their marketplaces. This will enable them to whitelist their own tokens and set their own fees. AirSwap will support swaps of NFT projects that have collections on either ERC721 and/or ERC1155 token standards.
