NUMBERS
Network performance and community activity
- $155M in volume with 72K swaps in September — Including $145M on Ethereum, $9M on BNB Smart Chain, and $800K on Polygon.
- 57% of ether/stablecoin swaps on MetaMask — MetaMask Swaps remain the number one source of volume, accounting for 96.4% of swaps.
- 32M AST staked, 18.3% of circulating tokens — AST staked dipped slightly from last month but still remains stable at around 18.3%.
- 317K AST distributed from treasury — 317K AST ($30K) was disbursed in September to contributors, bringing the circulating supply to 174.8M.

The latest from around the community and network
- First New Contributors Call — AirSwap had its first New Contributors Call on Wednesday, September 21, an introduction for our new builders. Contributors from around the DAO shared the tools they use and what newcomers can expect when they join. Listen to the recording here.
- AirSwap September Community Call — AirSwap had its September community call on Wednesday the 28th. Members shared updates on the direction AirSwap is headed in as well as cool, new products launching soon. Listen to the recording here.
PROPOSALS
Recent proposals voted on by the community
- AIP 72: Rebalance Eth Pool — Accepted (97.07%)
Voting rewards were unavailable for a few weeks due to an Activate upgrade. As a result, some token pools grew much larger than others. AIP 72 was voted in to rebalance these pools ahead of rewards reopening to prevent large disparities between early and late claims.
Upcoming proposals for the October vote
- AIP 74: Update Contributor Rewards — AIP 74 proposes to update the dynamic contributor reward allocations as specified in AIP 71 to account for a varying number of contributors in the Tech and Growth circles.
- AIP 75: AirSwap at ETHLisbon— AirSwap seeks to build awareness of our technology and community. The ETHLisbon hackathon is a good opportunity to reach out to the international community-based in the crypto-capital of the world. AIP 75 proposes that AirSwap sponsors the event and sends two members to represent AirSwap.
COMMUNITY
At AirSwap, we are all about community and believe our DAO to be strong and celebratory. From birthdays to meetups, we find reasons to bond and celebrate. In early September, our members Koploseus and Sam met in Nantes to enjoy drinks and have great conversations.
Another member meetup happened in Amsterdam, where Agrimony, Snjivo, and Jop gathered for tasty food and drinks. It was all about exchanging ideas, camaraderie, and bonding. We look forward to having more fun and productive meetups and building a more robust DAO!

What’s happening in September?
- AirSwap 5-Year Anniversary Meetup — AirSwap is turning 5!
October 10 marks the 5th anniversary of AirSwap and we’re still going strong 5 years after launch with great technology and products with many new ones in the pipeline. The meetup will be held in the beautiful city of Nantes, France on October 8 and 9. Members of the AirSwap Community will gather to have a good time, and talk about AirSwap’s development. Register for the event and join the fun! - New Contributors Call — The AirSwap DAO will be holding October’s New Contributors Call on October 12. If you’d like to BUIDL with the AirSwap DAO, follow AirSwap on Twitter, turn on tweet notifications, and keep an eye out for the call.
